Brief description:

Fundamentals of radiative transfer, blackbody and thermal radiation, radiation from moving charges, bremsstrahlung, synchrotron radiation, Compton scattering, plasma effects, atomic structure, radiative transitions, molecular structure.


Prerequisites:

PHY 13 and MATH 51, or instructor’s consent.
