Re: (ET) Mower arm?

It's a simple repair. The roll pin has sheared on the mower deck end of the support.

Locate and drive out the remains of said roll pin.Take that end of the support to a local hardware or auto parts store to size a replacement. Get a couple, as you may send some into a low earth orbit during the reassembly attempts. <G>

The FUN part will be getting the spring compressed to line up the holes to get the pin in . A ratchet strap has worked well for me, since most folks do not have vise that large.:)

A bit of engine oil dribbled into the arm on occasion will prevent things from rusting and failing prematurely.

Hi,
I was mowing today, front mount mower.  One of the arms that holds the deck in place came apart - the "piston" rod came out of the cylinder.

Has anyone fixed one?  Spares around that are in decent shape?  [how much?]  Any part to replace them with?

Dave
