Re: (ET) Darn, E15 motor out too

Now that there are a few 36-volt mowers on the market (Worx, B&D, Toro, Earthwise, Sears), I'm thinking about waiting for a couple to arrive in my life (due to dead batteries) and rigging up a front attachment to drive those from an ET. (Currently I push a 24-volt hand-me-down relic which just needed a better charger and 2 replacement wheels - still on the original batteries which have 2004 stamped on them. But I don't have much lawn to mow.)

WHY PUTTING IT IN STORAGE WRECKS MOTORS?

I've seen brush holders corrode from moisture in my garage and barn during
winter storage. This caused the brushes to bind.

I suppose something similar - say, rust on the inside of the motor
housings -
could be causing your magnets to break loose from the housings.

I've been wondering for a while how practical it would be to adapt motors
from 36v push mowers for ET decks. Examples:

I'd be surprised if these motors were as stout and sturdy as the original
GE
motors.
