Re: (ET) E-15 Problem

-Suggest putting transmission in neutral.
-Check F-R relay by moving lever...if it doesn't click/move, closely examine contacts (may be welded together or burnt)
Note: no dc field power will cause motor to draw excessive current.....main disconnect to trip or power meter to "go dead"
- F-R relay is usually the problem.....if contacts ok, make sure it is getting coil power from circuit card
- Other things to remember
Seat switch must be closed (weight on seat)
Brake switch must be closed (brake released)
Moving F-R lever back and forth should operate F-R relay

Subject: (ET) E-15 Problem

Hi, I have an E-15 that has no forward or reverse everything else works fine.L coil comes in but only for about five seconds, fw or rev coils never energize. I am led to believe that my brushes or armature is bad but have continuity through motor. Has anyone any ideas? Thanks for any help. Al
