Re: (ET) "gas pedal" and Wombat comments re: Salvage

Hi everyone,
I 'second' those 'motions' - directed to/from Steve, but extendable to many
on the list.

1) it would be helpful if we had a shareable way to log/database our spare
parts : I have 2 E-20's, an E-15, and an E-12 which has donated many parts
to the E-15.
BUT, I plan to buy one of Steve's controllers, and combine the best parts
of
the 2 E-20's. After that - I will have most of 3 tractors and 2 mower
decks
to get rid of (sell/trade/etc).
(Same with my 2 Comuta-Cars, and a few other projects. They just take up
too much space, and 40 golf cart batteries is/was an overwhelming number to
maintain ! - so most are in poor shape).
I am in Western New York also.

2) Like Steve said, I am a do-it-yourself kind of guy - trying to make a
little improvement, by example, where possible.

3a) Like Paul & Sue said, I don't think Steve's 'advertising' is a problem
here, since it might turn into a 'rescue' for many of us. I worked on a
roomful of equipment with relay logic years ago in US Air Force, and I
would
be happier if I never had to deal with more than one relay/contactor in any
system again. [ Of course, they are simple . . . and I can wind a new coil
if I had to, or turn new contacts on my metal lathe - but making FET's or
IGBT's is beyond my capability ! ]

3b) If Steves product turns out to have problems, it would be hard to find
a
more honest forum to bring out the issues, and possibly find solutions !

John
