Re: (ET) Sealing in the paint
I wouldn't recommend it just because it doesn't harden like an outdoor
finish should. You will find all kinds of things stuck to it if it gets
dust
or debris that sit on the poly for very long (a day or so). This might be a
good question for a paint group someplace (do you yahoo?). 'Are there
hardening agents which work with Minwax?'
A cabinetmaker I know recommended putting carnouba wax over the
polyurethane
finish to keep books and papers from sticking to the table, but that only
helped a little, it didn't cure the problem.

You could try a spray clearcoat lacquer on a part that won't show, to see
if
it wrinkles the latex. Minwax does make a couple of different sprays, in
both mineral and water-based polyurethane.
