This is the really wonderful thing about Frank King's 2D model, for which Laura is getting the plans. He's managed to jigger the sizes and weights of things, based on measurements of real bells at Trumpington, such that (a) everything looks in normal proportion to everything else in the model, yet (b) it rings quite naturally, and at about the right speed for a real bell. It even has an operational 2D stay and slider!
