I recently reconverted the Bercomac two-stage snowblower on my Electric
Ox.  The previous motor had failed and I wasn't able to get a
replacement.  So instead I bought a Motenergy ME1007.  It took some
trial and error about the pulley sizes.  Running the blower at the
manufacturer's design RPM is delightful in terms of how far it throws
the snow, but the rate at which you can blow the snow without exceeding the
5kW rated motor power is very slow.  So I traded off for more snow
thrown not so far.

The ME1007 is totally enclosed, so there wouldn't be a need for
screening.  Unfortunately for Elec-Trak use, it is also 48V.  For a 36V
system you would need the ME0909.  3.4kW continuous, but not totally
enclosed.
