No wonder.  If youir previous posts are right, you're running 180 amps 
through a 50 amp connector.  

You do realize that your vac is chowing down at the rate of 6.5 KILOwatts, 
right?  And that's CONTINUOUS power, not peak.  It seems like an awful lot 
of power to me, but what do I know?
