Re: (ET) 12M L-arm pins

Thanks for the info guys.  Ground the head off, replaced pin and am back in business.

Guess the drill didn’t work as the point was probably bouncing off the craggy surface of the broken pin.

(I’m not planning on filling in the rut—believe the neighbor that caused it should fill it in!)  :-)

Options without sing the damage:
  1. Liquid wrench or similar if it is just rusted in, i.e. cant’ rotate it from the back
  2. Heat the sleeve
  3. Last resort Cut or grind of the back and then push it from the inside, underneath side, out
  4. You need to  take it to a professional shop for removal and replacement of the sleeve

If you’re not familiar with 1-3 or have the time or equipment, jump to #4.
While it s in the shop, fill in the rut!
Thanks,
Hank

Drove into a rut and managed to snap off one of the pins in the mid-mount deck that holds the swivel end of an L-arm.  The rest of it doesn’t seem to want to be punched out.  Was it originally welded in?  I imagine it’s a hardened pin so won’t want to be drilled out either?

Thanks.
