Alltrax originally offered two versions of the ET controller, a standard 
one 
with a 300 amp current limit, and a "high performance" version with a 400 
amp current limit.  I wouldn't think they'd have bothered with the second 
version had they not measured over 300 motor amps at some point.  

That said, as far as I can tell, Alltrax no longer offer the higher 
current 
version.  I use the 300a version and it's more than adequate.
