Suggest crimping
your own.... auto parts stores sell a "hammer" crimper for about $15.
Strip cable, put lug over it and set it inside and whack it with a hammer -
works great (they sell them for starter motor cables).
Bellevilles are
ok if stainless and torqued properly.... otherwise, don't use
them.
Standard lock
washers are ok.

The original wiring was 6AWG to/from/between the batteries, and they should be able to take the current. 4AWG gives quite a bit of breathing room. When I made my wires I used lug connectors (From Home depot, the grey ones..just fits 4AWG) , el-Cheapo(tm) crimper, then used a torch to solder the connector on. Even after 2 hours of heavy work they are cold as a cucumber. No clue. Sorry. I don't use washers on mine, but I don't have those posts... http://www.elec-trak.com/forum/album.php?albumid=2&pictureid=15 You can see my terminal posts and the lug connector connected. B |
