Re: (ET) Batteries wiring with ring terminals

Congrats on the East Penn GC15's!  40 is a steal!
1.  What size cable?  (I have heard size 0.)
4AWG THHN should be more then enough.  The original wiring was 6AWG to/from/between the batteries, and they should be able to take the current.  4AWG gives quite a bit of breathing room.
2.  Can I use a bolt on ring terminal?  (I don't have access to a heavy duty crimper.)  If so, what type will handle the current?  (This would be for the four cable connections where the cables go into the tractor chassis, not for the battery to battery cables where I will buy pre made cables.)
When I made my wires I used lug connectors (From Home depot, the grey ones..just fits 4AWG) , el-Cheapo(tm) crimper, then used a torch to solder the connector on.  Even after 2 hours of heavy work they are cold as a cucumber.

3.  Should I use belleville washers to help maintain bolt clamp force?  If so, is there a particular washer someone has used?
No clue.  Sorry.  I don't use washers on mine, but I don't have those posts...

You can see my terminal posts and the lug connector connected.
