Hi Below is a post form the Wheelhorse Tractor list. It is the closing e-mail after a very long thread about Tanaxles oil. It was basically the same conversation that we had a while ago on the same topic. However, the Wheelhorse guys many who are into tractor pulling etc. really gave it a workout. I figured we might as will learn form them.
Just a note UniDrive as pure Wheelhorse Transaxles they are as far as I know only on the E141’s. But, the information is totally valid for our Peerless units. Also the CEN-PE-CO products Franks talks about, are of very high quality and worth the bother and expense. As I rebuild my tractors I replace the gunk in the Tranaxle with CEN-PE-CO products which I have to go across the boarder to pick-up.
Also if you do order from Frank or an other CEN-PE-CO dealer, be sure that you tell him the application and the they type of tranaxles you have, Then change your oil and forget about it for a long while.
Regards

Hi Randy and fellow Wheel Horse Unidrive lovers.
Cen-Pe-Co has finally agreed to furnish me with their HY_TORQUE Gear Lube Red with Temp Tac in gallon bottles. They will not package in Quarts, says it would make it cost prohibitive. One gallon is enough for 2 tractors if you don't spill any..............lol
First I will give you the write up on this product so you engineering types can make your decision on whether to use or not. I have it in all my Unidrives including the pulling tractors.
CEN-PE-CO HY-TORQUE GEAR LUBE RED WITH TEMP TAC
A heavy-duty multi-purpose extreme pressure gear lubricant blended with 100% pure paraffin base oil. This red, tacky gear lube is specially formulated for heavy and light trucks, off-highway equipment, farm equipment, industrial use, and automobiles. Recommended for transmissions (including Easton/Fuller, Rockwell, Clark, and Spicer/Dana) where gear oil or API MT-1 is specified and for all final drives and differentials ( spiral bevel, worm and hypoid).
Meets and exceeds: API GL-7, GL-6, GL-5, GL-4, GL-3, GL-2, MT-1 MIL-L-21105 C/D Mack GO-H, GO-G Caterpillar IE2355 Chrysler MS-862P,MS 3626-B, MS-3636, MS-3725, MS 9020B John Deere J11D/E Ford M2C83-C, M2C94-A, M2C94-A2, M2CI05-A, M2CI08-C, M2CI54-A General Motors 9985044, 9985290, Komatsu Dresser B22-0003, CZG, 1362 Massey Ferguson CMS M1134 Navistar B-22 Rockwell 0-76-D
Types of additives*
Extreme Pressure Oxidation Inhibitors Rust Inhibitors Friction Modifiers Anti-Score and Weld Foam Inhibitors Corrosion Inhibitors Pour Point Depressants Tackifiers * Does not contain potentially damaging chlorine, lead or "active" sulfur additives.
Cen-Pe-Co HY-Torque Red with Temp Tac reduces gear and bearing wear by more than 50% when compared to other commercially available gear lubricants. Hy-Torques's friction reducing capability lowers operating temperatures, reduces noise and improves fuel economy. This lubricant will not thicken with use, drain intervals can be doubled and tripled versus other commercial lubes. Hy-Torque Red excels in applications where normal water contamination may be experienced and keeps seals pliable and in good working condition.
TYPICAL HY-TORQUE RED WITH TEMP TAC CHARACTERISTICS:
SAE 80W90 SAE 80W140 Viscosity SUS @ 210 F 76 this is equivalent to SAE 30 weight crankcase oils. 146 this is equivalent to SAE 60 weight Crankcase Oil Viscosity Index 100 98 Channel Point ( F) -35 0 Timken OK Load (pounds) 85 85
I also use this in the differentials of my 2001 F-150 4x4. Temperature was checked before the change and I am now almost 40 degrees cooler when pulling my 5000# enclosed trailer with 3 WH pulling tractors.
The cost is $24.00 per gallon plus $12.00 S&H to your home. I will use Fedex or DHL for a carrier. If you need more than 1 gallon, I will adjust S&H according to your ZIP code.
Thanks, Frank in WNY
