Congratulations. I've been ebike commuting all summer here in Alberta
where similar progressive legislation was introduced a while back. I ride
20 km each way so I have to charge my triple-pack of 12Ah SLA batteries at
work before I can ride home. That means that I have to lug the battery
pack from the bike racks to my office...I sure hope Li ion batteries come
down in price soon. Also, a BLDC hub motor is a dog to ride on without
battery assist; it's like riding with a flat tire. Maybe the more
expensive hub motors (Heintzmann?) have an internal freewheel to ease non-
electric riding but the Crystalite motors put up a bit of a fight.

Any other elec-trakkers with ebikes?

Ken Muldrew.
