Re: (ET) Looking for a cordless electric push mower
maybe nobody replied on-list since we covered this last week...
I'd say save your time and effort and she should get a Neuton. Well made
and distributed by the same folks that make the DR power products.
If her small lot is less than a half acre she can get away with a single
battery and still finish in one session (without waiting for a recharge).
My mother's unit was made 4 years ago or so, and her lot is about 3/4 acre
with a house, garage, drive, and lots of shrubbery. Biggest problem is
she
doesn't like (or always have time) to do the backyard (about 1/4 acre
field). Yesterday my nephew did the whole lawn including the backyard,
used
both batteries. The backyard was 4-6" high.
Anyway, it's a good product

Subject: (ET) Looking for a cordless electric push mower
To All Listers: My wonderful treehugging friend has been coveting my
C-185
and is now searching for an electric push mower for her small lot outside
of
Philly. Can anyone point me in the right direction to acquire one. I
would
like one that is in running condition but can/will give it a complete
/thorough rebuild as required so a project mower would be considered. Any
advice? I only have experience with the electric riders.
