(ET) Sometimes its better to listen to those mental warnings!

Today I was mowing around the lake and there is one
spot where I mow to the edge and then flick the
reverse switch. Well, for some reason today I was
feeling uneasy about this, and of course just then I
somehow drive the deck and front wheels into the lake.
I bailed off just as the wheels went over the edge
thinking it wouldn't be a good idea to be in the lake
with the 36 volts. I got the throttle shut off as I
was bailing off, but not the deck. Believe it or not
when I picked myself up off the ground I couldn't
believe it but at least one of the motors was still
running underwater! So I flicked the master off,
pulled it out of the lake. I ran the deck for about
30 minutes to dry it out and took the can tops off the
deck motors to dry them off. Only one seemed wet.
Everything seems okay!

BTW, just last week a guy doing overseeding in my yard
got off his ICE honda tractor and it went down the
hill and ended up about 6 feet under! Its engine is
stuck now! I'm hoping my deck motors keep running!
