Re: (ET) E-T for house backup - 36V inverters

Exeltech (exeltech.com) makes a true sign wave inverter that will work with
the ET. I got the following quote from them a few months ago but have not
yet pulled the trigger. Great company based in my area and one of their
engineers is a leader in the local alt energy community & a regular
contributor to Home Power. Plan to include in the PV install (grid
intertie
but with temp backup using ET batts when power is down) I do early next
year
to take advantage of the Fed rebates for 2006 & 2007. Be careful of the
square wave and modified square wave inverters - they can be hell on
computers and such. Following is the quote from Exeltech including a
conformal coating to provide protection from dirt/dust. Very pricey but
they make the best.

Thank you for the opportunity to quote your inverter needs. Your quote
follows:

Description: 1100Watts Power Inverter, 117Vac / 60Hz output, 32Vdc input,
with

Conformal Coating

Part #: XPK-1-B-6-1-07

Your cost: $1,050.00 each

Delivery: 6-8 weeks ARO

Freight: FOB Ft. Worth
