Hi
I've posted the
E-141 to the Owner club website Gallery. There is a picture of a E-141 in the
Gallery of Unusual Stuff. However it is labelled as a B-141. This just a
typo. It also says that the E-141 was a converted Gas
tractor. This is not quite true there was never gas version of the
E-141, although there were gas Wheelhorse that looked very much the same.
The best guess, from talking with all the guys at the 2005 Wheelhorse show and
some of the old Wheelhorse dealers, is that the the E-141 was made as
assortment of left over parts from the Wheelhorse parts bin. The 1980's
was a tough times for Wheelhorse and they were scrambling for product and the
E-141 was one of those products it didn't sell well. Eventually,
Toro rescued Wheelhorse.
In fact, the plug for the mower still had GE moulded in it and
the main power switch is the same one that on the Electrak, the contactors
and ignition switch are from the E-60. The hood and fenders are
moulded fibreglass and the transmission is and early version of the UniDrive
(An 8 pin). later version were 6 pin. The seat is a generic Wheelhorse.
All for
now
