(ET) Power loss on E20.

I have something weird going on on my E20 power related.  I was out mowing my normal way in L gear when the tractor started to loose power going up a slight incline.  I had to drop down to LL to continue the small climb.  I started to check into this yesterday and found that I only have speeds 1 & 2 then 5 & 6, tested from neutral gear stop.  Started checking into the owners manual, but thought I would see if anyone could offer me advice, first.  The tractor has a brand new set of batteries installed a few weeks back, and this problem has just started happening.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
