(ET) lift motor

Rod, the way the wires work on the lift motor,  calling the "center tap" 
common, one side  goes to plus the othe to minus so you get lift and lower.

If you tke the motor  armature out of the asembly you should be able to 
tell if the wires are burnt open.  It's not hard to rewind,have done a 
couple by hand,
