What looks like a capacitator under the dash, on
the far right terminal block has disintegrated. Now the tractor continues at
startup speed, (as if on cruise control), after the throttle is released. The
only way to stop the tractor is "disconnect" or switch to reverse! I unplugged
the black wire to the cruise control terminal (2nd block from far
right) & the throttle works properly but, startup speed is very harsh,
too fast, & of course cruise control is disabled. Does anyone have a
schematic with values so I can replace the capacitator, if that is what it was
before it crumbled to pieces? Have used this tractor since 1979 for lawn &
light snow plowing & have gotten
kind of attached to it! & would like to fix it.
