RE: (ET) Charging, and general battery confusion

I see 42.5 to 44 at the end of a charge cycle. This is in the white
(charge) section
of the 'fuel' (volt) meter on the dash.

A day after charging, the needle (no load) is on the line between the
chare and run section.

When the cap was bad, I saw 38 to 38.5 max after a full day charging with
the charger on.
A day later (no load) the needle was about 1/4 the way up from the bottom
in the green. I
don't remember what that voltage corresponded to. I do remember charging
each battery with
a trickle charger and getting the voltage back to the edge of the white.

Larry and Paul,

My resting voltages are ALL 6.0-6.4 Vdc, while charging after
sitting for a day I read 6.4/6.5V on each battery.

When I start charging I see 37.8 to 38.0 V, after I see 38.2 or
38.3. I have never recorded a voltage higher than 40.4.

I *think* they just need a good cooking.
