Re: (ET) Just sayin'

*nod* Ok. The only reason I was thinking Elec-Trak sweeper is that the brushes were powered at some point.

Probably not worth the hassle of shipping though. And finding a new catcher, etc...

Off to Sears or somewhere. Long as a 36-40 inch wide one will work I will be happy.

I do exactly the same - pull a Sears sweeper - I believe it is about 40
inches wide. Does a good job of picking up pine cones, twigs and grass
clippings. I use a rear discharge front mounted deck, and it works well for
this. One wheel drive makes it skid the drive wheel if the terrain is
uneven and the brushes encounter increased resistance. I've been tempted
to
electrify it with a geared down mower motor to make it more effective, but
that's pretty far down the list of important projects...

I have a Sears Lawn Sweeper which I bought in the 50's in CA. I have been
pulling it behind my E10M ever since I got it. No problem. I don't think
you
need anything special, although there might be some advantages in a GE
unit,
I suppose.

I sold my Craftsman 16hp Lawn tractor the other day to my Dad. I'm now
100% electric.

Now to get a lawn sweeper, and to figure out how to pick up leaves.
Anyone got an Elec-Trak lawn sweeper? :-)
