also, its a breeze to test motors with a spare electrak charger, and then you can simply turn it on and off with a standard switch on tab of receptacles.  no sparks at motor cause its hooked up before power applied.  these old charger transformers are pretty cheap around here, 25 or less, and with new capacitors and or diode plate from bill g, which are also not expensive, you have a great, on the bench, ready to go, source for 36v testing, and a spare charger.   jon k albany ny
