Fw: (ET) front deck E20 mower mowing quality improvements?
Regarding the mowing quality stated below--as I see it, by "smashing the
lifted tip of the blade", I think that you rather scuttled yourself. I
think
that the lifted tip is that way to produce a fan-like action, ie. an upward
draft which blows the cuttings up above the blades and across to the
discharge chute. The lack of upward draft is probably why the wind noise is
reduced and why the furthest blade cannot eject its grass. The blades also
would have more difficulty getting the cut grass out of the way and so have
a more difficult time cutting. The amount of uptilt on the tip of the
blade
should be a compromise design amount to provide as much ejection as
possible
without too much wind resistance to the spinning blade. Does this all sound
reasonable?
