Re: (ET) Lift motor

This is the research I have done, so far.
Purchasing a reman motor should make for a longer life time. And, imagine the fun the remanufacturer is going to have, with a GE lift motor core. <G>

BTW, at the rockauto site the motors are listed under Body-Interior, just to save you a little extra looking.

Highlight the "Parts Catalog" button and click on the "Vehicle List By Part Number" button, and then type in the part number, since you already have it. That will show you the list of 1054 vehicles it fits. You can probably find a used one real reasonable to experiment with.

For the picture, since Delco doesn't show one for these numbers, go to:

Here you can look it up by the application and there is a button to click for the picture, but an aftermarket part number.

Hopefully,,,this is a GOOD link day. <BG>

I haven't changed one over.........yet. Send the link, and I will go exploring. Since I already know how the finished product needs to be configured for my arcane needs, it should be fun.

Here's a "little" more info for you that I have no idea how it would relate to what you are trying to accomplish, but here goes, anyway. <BG>

IF that motor is supposed to be for a 70's vintage Corvette,,that's a piece of cake to find, unless there's something screwey with that part number, like a special run or something, because it's apparently no good. BUT, if you look up the window motors for a 1972 Corvette, you come up with a 5045665 for the drivers side and a 5045664 for the passenger side. The original number you posted was a 5045631. Being that it's an odd number, that would appear to be a drivers side part, so the 5045665 should be the same.

Now, if you search the 5045665 on the Delco site, it has 1054 applications from 1966 to 1979 and is readily available. Whether it will work for you or not, I couldn't begain to guess, but that's looking at it from the application standpoint instead of from the number.

You have changed these before, I ASSume, so if any of this makes sense, I can send you a link with a picture, that you may be able to match up to what you know goes in there.
