Morning, Dan: your missive arrived here OK, yeah, it has been quiet.
Happens on some of my other mailgroups too, things go by spells.
Dunno about cables, I usually get new ends from the NAPA store and
solder them on the old cables if long enough. Don't like the "bolt-on"
connectors for such places, have to take them down and clean every few
years on my big tractors.
