RE: (ET) Proud owner

Steve,

I am sending my rescued mower motors back to Bill Gunn to be over hauled.
He said he would do it for around $35 for each motor. He can do a complete
overhaul; even check to be sure the magnet is still good. (He has gauges
for
this). If you are going to use your tractor for mowing, the deck has to be
in top shape to get the full potential out of the tractor/mower. Believe me
when the blades are sharp and the deck is true it cuts better than most new
mowers.

Some toys are red some are green but the one painted yellow is the best toy
yet!

1 - Any thoughts on what to do with electric motors that have sat for ??
years. The mower motors were stuck but I freed them up by hand - I haven't
tried the main motor yet. Should they be pulled apart, oiled, greased, etc
etc??

2 - I'm missing the main disconnect switch - anyone have a spare to sell,
or
is this a Bill Gunn item?

3 - Any other items I should check that fail with time? I'm thinking things
like insulation ,etc.

BTW, Guys at work think it's cool, wife and kids just look at me funny.

Thanks,
