Chalk up another rescued ET! I've been looking for one for a while and
appreciate the helpful hints and leads I've received from all. Last week I
finally found one in about the shape I was looking for. Its an E12 and
aside
from the rust, in what I assume are the usual places, it looks pretty good.
Batteries were bad, so I haven't fired it up.
So for the first set of questions:
1 - Any thoughts on what to do with electric motors that have sat for ??
years. The mower motors were stuck but I freed them up by hand - I haven't
tried the main motor yet. Should they be pulled apart, oiled, greased, etc
etc??
2 - I'm missing the main disconnect switch - anyone have a spare to sell,
or
is this a Bill Gunn item?
3 - Any other items I should check that fail with time? I'm thinking things
like insulation ,etc.
BTW, Guys at work think it's cool, wife and kids just look at me funny.
Thanks,
Steve S
