You are right, Vince; that puppy is in series with everything. That
explains it.

Larry, take a look at the schematic. The large Klixon® limiter on the
motor
housing IS in series with just about ALL the loads on the tractor. The call
out in the schematic is CB-1.

for a few hours. The only ones I trip are the tiller and snow-blower; they
are manual reset buttons, on the end of the motor. If the motor is
overheating, your load or current gauge will be reading very high compared
to normal. Even bad bearings can cause motor overheating. IF the motor
overheats, it should NOT stop the lift, lights or accessories from working!
I don't yet get this. The speed reversals are particularly disturbing.
