[SOS-Boston] Meetings canceled until further notice

Hi everyone,

I was going to cancel tomorrow's meeting on account of the snow Armageddon heading our way, and I figured now is as good a time as any to call a halt to the regularly scheduled meetings.  The fact is, there isn't enough demand at the moment. 

I'm going to re-group, maybe talk more with the Mother Ship (LifeRing in California) to see what a concerted recruitment campaign might look like.  Right now, what it would take to make it work (mailings, networking with treatment providers, visiting detox and rehab centers, etc) is more than I am prepared to give. 

I don't think I'm done yet, just taking a break (and I continue to interact with people via unhooked online).  I'll collect email inquiries from new people interested in a meeting, and email the bigger group (i.e. you)  if/when I start the meetings up again.  I will be at the usual location for the next 2-3 weeks, in case someone shows up before LifeRing and SOS have a chance to take the listing off their website and to catch any stragglers from various other sources.

In the meantime, feel free to contact me if you'd like to know what LifeRing has to offer, or need support.  If you're around the NU campus, drop me a line, I'd love to meet up and chat awhile.
