[SOS-Boston] Next meeting, Wednesday Feb 3 at 5:30 pm

Hi folks,

The weekly meeting meets again...I hope you can make it.  Lifering works by bringing people together, if you don't come out, we can't get together.  So, please come on out if you need help & support.

Here's another nugget from the Lifering email list I'm on, someone was giving some advice/support to another who couldn't go more than a few days sober, and had a huge number of failed attempts (so very very common):

"The key, of course, is to learn from any false starts and change what doesn't work and nurture what does. This can be difficult, for each failed attempt takes a toll on the ego. Some of that, though, is a favorite trick of the Beast -- make me feel as though I'm incapable of succeeding and therefore shouldn't try....Succeeding at sobriety is an achievement of great courage and strength. Yes, it's hard. Yes, it usually requires many tries. But if you stick with it, learn from your setbacks, remember your successes, and retain your resolve, then you WILL quit drinking. There's no doubt about it. This is difficult stuff, but it's never impossible."

The meeting is at Northeastern University on Wednesdays, the room is booked from 5:30-7:00. The meeting takes place in the "Reflection Room" at Northeastern University, which is right next to the "Sacred Space".  Here is some text on how to get there:

It's easy to get to by T, a minute walk from the Northeastern stop on the Green Line, or about 5 minute walk from either the Ruggles or Mass Ave stops on the Orange Line.  Parking can be an issue, but if you apply yourself, you can find street parking.  Let me know if you have parking concerns.

Here's a map of the whole campus:

The meeting is in building #52.
