Re: [apmultiples] another rant from Valerie

I don't know why- but suddenly soccer is hot for girls. Maybe it's Mia Hamm
:) lol
I agree- I want Lily to play sports. She's built like a linebacker so far,
so maybe she'll be a great defensive end or hockey center :)

BUT I must also say, that having only 1 girl- I do have a little bit of an
obsession with dressing her more feminine than her brothers.... I like that
people can tell she's a girl then. Dumb I know....but I still like it.
I was NOT and am still not a "girly-girl" but I do have a new found fondness
for dresses now that I have a daughter.... :)

is more into traditional "girly" things, like he prefers art to sports and
plays with my purse.  I've tried to be gender neutral as much as possible,
bought dolls, etc.  I even got them toy makeup when they wanted it.  But
they do seem to be rather "boyish" in general, except for the one I
mentioned, but even he can at times.  Oh, did I mention that his favorite
color is pink.  : )

steer them into girly activities at an early age.  My boys' basketball team
is coed and there's not one girl on it, they're only 5!  I'm shocked that
parents don't sign their girls up for sports, you do see more in soccer, but
not in baseball.  If I had a girl, I'd put her in sports, but I'm sure it's
hard if there's no other girls on the team.
