[Emeriti-faculty] Message from Professor Napier regarding computers

To Physics & Astronomy Faculty and Staff:

As you know, each year the University allocates to the department a 
budget (generally inadequate) for the replacement of obsolete 
computers.  This year is no exception.  If you have an obsolete machine, 
and would like to request a replacement, please send me the following 
information:

1)  Description of the machine to be replaced, including type 
(desktop/laptop), approximate date of purchase, operating system, and 
why it needs replacing.
2)  Description of desired replacement, with approximate price.

Offers of cost-sharing are welcome, but not required.

They will then be considered by the Computer Facilities Committee.
