Yep. Odd that aluminum will corrode, but there it was. Will clean out the holders and put in new brushes "later" where later is "I need to completely rebuild a couple of these motors around here" 

Might have been rain.

Not yet on an ET, but on other DC motor tools I've seen this caused by
corrosion in the brush holders.
