(ET) GE controller

I have a GE 262 FS1 controller.  FSIP shows only a 262 EV1, probably a 
successor to the FS1.
My ET, 26AE12CA with an E20 drive motor, has a Curtis 1204m system in 
place and working great.  The 262 does not have the fwd/rev switch common 
to Curtis. 

So, just for a giggle,  I removed Curtis and installed the GE with clear 
instruction from the seller.  Seat switch closed, ignition on, trans in 
neutral, move throttle back and forward....nothing.  No motor action.  
The pot is finely adjusted and at times, with throttle back, there could 
be a teensy bit of motion from the motor.

Re-installed the Curtis, all’s well.  Without taking the 262 apart is 
there a way to bench-test it?  Has anyone installed a 262 in an E12?
