(ET) wire numbers

I am stumped.
I have been working on installing new 9 pin molex connectors between the charger and the timer on several tractors. I have discovered some inconsistencies in wire/pin locations. I understand what wire should plug with which wire, i.e 46 from transformer should plug with 46 from timer, but what I am stumped about are the two wires, or two pairs of wires on some chargers, that come from the primary coil of the charger. These wires are numbered 46 and 52 on various diagrams/schematics but none of the chargers actually have these wires numbered.

My question is simple, which wire is which number? The inconsistency is that among my chargers sometimes the "left" primary coil wire plugs with 52 from the timer and on another charger this same wire plugs with 46 from the timer.

Perhaps 46 and 52 are interchangeable but I don't know that. If someone knows the answer it maybe difficult to define which is which by words in reply.  I have used the two red wires from the secondary coil to the capacitor as a reference. One of the primary coil wires is "back from/same-side-as/near to" these wires whereas the other primary coil wire is "away from" these two red wires.

Hop I have been clear enough for someone to help me. Thanks. Mike
