I've never seen one, but that's hardly definitive.

When an old brushed DC motor won't run, a possible problem might be
improperly seated brushes. Sometimes when they're stored in damp places
the
brush holders oxidize insde, so the brushes no longer slide easily. Also,
brush springs weaken with time and heat, and this contributes. The motor
will run for a while with stuck brushes, but then the brushes wear down
and
can't make good contact with the commutator. If you're unlucky, this can
result in bad things happening to the com. If you're lucky, the motor
just
stops running.
