Re: (ET) Rear Electric Lift



It's pretty simple: The motor itself drives a gear which lifts the strap. You have a switch in there to switch +36v to either side of the shunt windings (for forward/reverse) that's it.

Pull the motor, pull the front (the bolts on the back are long and hold back to front) then check to see if the breaker is bad or not. If not you may have a shorted armature.
