If you go to Jim's Electric Tractor Store website, and search for
"Charger Capacitor", you'll find all three kinds.

2 mfd, 4 mfd, 20 mfd depending on the tractor type and date of manufacture.

I've honestly never really understood how the thing works with only two 
diodes.
