I went all-in and replaced the stock headlights with LED's.They are
connected directly to the pack at 36V, and are awesome.I went for these
(expensive) ones, but there are many other multi-volt lights that are
similar in design (but uncertain quality)...

Lights | LED Auxiliary Work Lights ...LED boat lights provide a burst of
illumination when you're cruising on the water but are also great for
off-road lighting, industrial lighting, marine lighting, and tractor
lighting. The 2" square spot or spreader light has 1 powerful Cree XM-L

I took the low budget, brute force
approach here. A low profile European automotive battery that
was mounted to a board atop the front ET batteries. Just
fit safely under the hood. A 40 A two way radio fuse
holder, a pair of NAPA rubber utility lamps mounted
on either side of the aluminum casting / grille,
restuffed with 4509 Av Landing lamps. ( 100W each.),
all connected with #12 wire.
I
charged the lighting battery with
another charger, to keep things simple, plus
avoid any issues with dimming due
to any ET loading.
Simple, but elegant. :)

tried 36volt 3-LED bulb replacements with the correct
socketconfiguration, bought online, and they didn't work worth a
damn. They'd light up on the ~40 volts from the elec-trak charger, but
cutout completely at almost exactly 36 volts. One of the virtues of
incandescent bulbs is that they still work whenyour batteries are getting
tired, they just get dimmer. LEDs areusually less forgiving!--CharlieOn
