(ET) disintegrating fuse block connections



Tracking down intermittent problems with the I-5, I find that three separate spade lugs have failed on the bulkhead main fuse block.  Only forty plus years of inertia are holding female to male (no, I'm not talking about my marriage, I'm still talking about the fuse block).  I discovered this by poking it with my finger and creating a bright flash and loud noise (STILL not talking about my marriage) which vaporized half of one of the lugs and blew the control fuse.

On Steve Naugler's E-15, he rebuilt the fuse block to use screw terminals and replaced the spade lugs with ring terminals.   It's an inexpensive modification that makes the connections sturdier and more electrically reliable (which is pretty typical of Steve's mods).

I want to do the same thing, but my fuse block is too corroded to be worth rebuilding.  Do any of you guys have a recommendation for a 3-fuse screw-terminal fuse block that would fit the original fuses?

I am considering the brass Cole-Hersee M414 which is a 4-fuse block, but I can saw one off easily enough.  A picture of that is at http://www.colehersee.com/home/item/cat/273/M-414/
