Re: (ET) battery terminal question

I'm not encouraging anyone to go this route, but just wanted to pass along
my experience with AGM batteries.
I just removed (13) Odyssey 65Ah batteries for my 65 Datsun truck, in
preparation for a Lithium transplant.
One thing I noticed is that there was no corrosion anywhere. This included
the standard automotive clamps at the batteries, in addition to the Magna
lug connections at the main fuse and other connections.
When I installed these 4.5 years ago, I didn't use any kind of terminal
grease. I made sure every connection was solid, and I used a good quality
shrink wrap at every joint.
Last night I was modifying one of my cables for the new layout, and was
amazed that the old connection at the fuse still looked brand new.
I know the flooded batteries are a different animal, but wanted to pass
this along.

Just an F.Y.I.

I would think adding any other metallic material in there could cause
excessive resistance heating and possibly a fire.
