I forgot to mention that you shouldn't charge these (or any battery other 
than flooded lead acid) with the GE charger.  Yes, I know that at least 
one 
person is using it for flooded NiCd batteries, but I still don't recommend 
that.

Using the GE charger for gel batteries is apt to murder them in short 
order. 
You need to limit finishing voltage to between 42.3 and 42.9 volts.  I 
charge mine with 3 individual 12v automatic chargers.
