I've been using East Penn Deka Dominator gel batteries in my E15 as long
as
I've had it (1998?). These batteries have a reputation for long life.
Mine
are just now starting to decline in capacity, but they're still good
enough
for my needs so far.

I use six 12v group 24s in series-parallel, but EP makes a golf car sized
gel battery. It's the 8GGC2. Capacity is significantly lower than a
flooded battery, 180ah and 92 minutes at 75 amps, so make sure that's
enough
for you.

Note that I'm talking here about East Penn's gel batteries, which use a
design licensed from Sonnenschein. I don't have direct experience with
their AGMs, but I seem to recall hearing that they don't last as long.
