Re: (ET) Trade an Elec-trak chainsaw for a front end loader?
I have a functioning front end loader. Details at this link:
http://www.plitch.com/ET_Bucket.html
It is, as suggested, a bit too heavy for an E-15, but it does work as a
loader (no teeth, so not a digger).
It was on display (and demo'd) at the ET gathering in Vermont last year.
Given the scarcity of this accessory, the good condition of this example,
and my very occasional need for a small bucket, I wouldn't trade for a
chain
saw. In fact, I would be thinking in terms of replacing the bucket and E-15
with a used gas 4wd mini utility tractor with bucket, so I think in terms
of
thousands of dollars.

Harold has one, and he used it to load my tiller into my minivan long long
ago. It's neat and all that but truth be told it seems to be less than
optimally practical. You can't dig like a gopher with it, the axle on the
front of the tractor is limited, and all that. Still, it's a front end
loader! :-)
Chainsaw on the other hand is probably the third most useful thing ever
made
for the Elec-trak behind the mower deck and the snow blower.
