(ET) Powder Coating

I've used a number of coatings, including powder.  Basically, it is
plastic, electrostatically applied as a powder, then heated to get it
to melt on.
Results vary wildly.  I'm sure a good job can result, but keep in mind,
it is a plastic coating.  I agree with what has been said; good prep is
key.  I'm most happy with two part polyeurethane.  I've great luck with
Devoe industrial paint.  I'm qualified: I lived on a steel sailboat for
12 years...
