(ET) More on V-Belts

 I may be unpopular for saying this but I feel I should share it. Years 
ago I too used to think that the bottom-notched 3VX belts were the belts 
to use on Elec-Traks. After quite a bit of experience I will say now that 
that is NOT the case. Regular new rubber 3V belts have way less slippage. 
The tug-of-war with the New Idea EGT200 with D&D motor and regular 3V 
belts versus Mark Frerking's tricked-out 40SE is evidence that if they 
were inclined to slip that would have been the time.
 Proper tension must also be maintained, of course.
