Re: (ET) Elec-trak general questions. bulbs..

Below is some old emails on bulb. Places that carry parts for fork truck
can get 36v versions of the head light bulbs. Radio Shack used to carry
36v versions of the dash light. I picked up a set a few years ago for my
e-12m but I hardly ever use the lights so it was put on the bottom of the
to do list and have never gotten to it.

Hi, I've found that number 1822 miniture bulbs that replace the old 12
volt bulbs in my Elec-trak. They are 36 volt, 1/4 diameter, bayonet
style, single pole!
I got mine from Bulb Direct and I got the cheaper
$0.60 ea version that they sell.

I purchased some 36v dash bulbs from Radio Shack. Part number:
RSU-11385994. They were 79 cents apiece. I bought four to make it worth
the shipping costs. They do not carry this bulb in stock so you will need
to order it at the store or call 1800-442-7221 and order them over the
phone.

A list of Hyster dealers can be found at http://www.hyster.com/dealers/ I
intend to call the one in Columbus Ohio Monday and see if I can get the
bulbs.
Thanks for the information.

I agree that a transistor controller beats a rheostat of any sort. I have
an Alltrax and it's been a trouper.

For the lights, you might consider mounting three 12v headlights across
the grill and wiring them in series. Another possibility would be to fit
a couple of 36v LED headlights meant for an electric bike.
